- Computer Based Test (CBT): Bilingual (Hindi & English) objective test across designated test cities in India.
- No Negative Marking: Zero marks deducted for incorrect answers in the Computer Based Test.
- Managerial Posts (Code 1 to 11): CBT followed by Application Verification and Personal Interview.
- Junior Executive Posts (Code 12 to 15): CBT followed directly by Application Verification.
- Manager (Fire Services): Application Verification + Physical Measurement Test (PMT) + Driving Test + Physical Endurance Test (PET) + Interview.
- Medical Fitness: Color blindness / night blindness is a rejection criterion for all posts except Post Codes 3 & 12.
- Passport Photograph: 4.5 cm × 3.5 cm colour picture, white background, <3 months old (200 × 230 px, 20 KB – 50 KB, JPG/JPEG).
- Live Photo Capture: Direct webcam capture or mobile QR code scan in adequate lighting.
- Scanned Signature: Black ink pen on white paper (140 × 60 px, 10 KB – 20 KB, JPG/JPEG). Capital letters NOT accepted.
- Left Thumb Impression: Black or blue ink on white paper, unscanned/smudge-free (240 × 240 px, 20 KB – 50 KB, 200 DPI JPG/JPEG).
- Handwritten Declaration: In candidate’s own English handwriting with black ink on white paper (800 × 400 px, 50 KB – 100 KB, JPG/JPEG).
- Declaration Text: “I, [Name of Candidate], hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”
- Go to the official AAI portal at www.aai.aero and navigate to the “CAREERS” tab.
- Click on “Direct Recruitment of Managers and Junior Executives (Advt No 12/2026/CHQ/DR-CBT)”.
- Click “New Registration” and enter Name, valid personal Email ID, and active Mobile Number.
- Save your Provisional Registration Number and Password received via SMS/Email.
- Fill in academic credentials, category, and select preferred CBT examination city centers.
- Upload scanned Photo, Signature, Left Thumb Impression, Handwritten Declaration, and complete Live Photo Capture.
- Verify all fields using the ‘Preview’ tab and complete registration.
- Pay the Rs. 1000/- online application fee (exempted for SC/ST/PwBD/Female/AAI Apprentices).
- Download and preserve the system-generated application form and e-Receipt for future verification.

1. What should I do if the registration portal is running slow or not loading?
Portal speed depends on network bandwidth and traffic volume. Retry after 15 minutes or apply during off-peak night hours.
2. How do I know my online application is successfully registered?
Successful registration generates a “Registration Number” and “Password” on screen and sends an instant SMS/Email confirmation.
3. What if I do not receive the email confirmation with login credentials?
Check your email Spam/Junk folders. Ensure the email address entered was valid and active without typos.
4. How do I confirm my application was saved if my session disconnected?
Log in via the ‘Re-Print Application / e-Receipt’ portal. If your form appears, it is saved; otherwise, re-apply afresh.
5. What should I do if I receive a blank or zero (0) Registration Number?
This indicates a rare transaction glitch. Re-register the application and verify through the Re-Print Application tab.
6. Can I modify or edit my application details after final submission?
You can edit details using ‘Save and Next’ prior to clicking ‘Complete Registration’. No edits are allowed after 07/09/2026.
7. Is there negative marking in the AAI CBT examination 2026?
No. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers in the Computer Based Test for any advertised post.
8. What are the rules for handwritten declarations and signatures?
Both must be written in running handwriting with black ink on white paper. Submissions in CAPITAL letters are rejected.
9. Can a candidate apply for more than one post under this advertisement?
Yes. Candidates can apply for multiple posts with separate registration and separate fee payment for each post.
10. Who is exempted from paying the Rs. 1000/- application fee?
SC, ST, PwBD, Female candidates, and Apprentices who completed one year of training in AAI are fully fee-exempted.
