Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have officially invited online applications for the recruitment of various Junior Engineer (JE) and Depot Material Superintendent (DMS) posts under CEN No. 04/2026.
Candidates holding a 3-Year Diploma or B.E. / B.Tech in Civil, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, IT, CS, or allied engineering disciplines are eligible to apply through the centralized portal.

Candidates must possess the requisite technical qualifications from a recognized University or Institute as on 13.09.2026. Higher qualifications like B.E. / B.Tech are accepted in lieu of a Diploma.

The recruitment process involves four progressive stages strictly based on merit and technical aptitude:
- 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-I): 100 Questions, 90 Minutes (Screening test covering Math, Reasoning, Science, and GA).
- 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-II): 150 Questions, 120 Minutes (Technical domain core: 100 marks; Non-tech: 50 marks).
- Document Verification (DV): Shortlisting on 1:1 ratio based on normalized CBT-2 merit index.
- Medical Examination (ME): Strict fitness tests (A-3, B-1, B-2, C-1 standards as per IRMM rules).
Selected candidates will be appointed at Level 6 of the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) matrix with an initial basic pay of ₹ 35,400/- per month, plus standard central government allowances (DA, HRA, Transport Allowance, etc.).
Documents & Upload Guidelines- Live Photograph: Direct capture via web cam/mobile camera during online application (Dark clothing, no caps/spectacles).
- Scanned Signature: Black ink on white paper in cursive handwriting (30 KB to 49 KB, JPG/JPEG format).
- Community Certificate: SC/ST candidates requesting free travel pass must upload PDF format under 400 KB.
- Identity Verification: Aadhaar / DigiLocker verification recommended during account creation.
- Visit the official RRB application portal at rrbapply.gov.in.
- Click on ‘Create an Account’ and complete mobile/email OTP authentication.
- Select only one RRB and choose post preferences according to eligibility.
- Capture your live photo using the webcam module and upload your black-ink signature.
- Pay the required application fee online via Net Banking, UPI, or Debit/Credit Card.
- Submit the application form and download the confirmation page for future reference.
